I just had a long chat with a guy from the Loughborough Echo.... (Colin Stainton)

I explained what we are up to and mentioned our plans for the park and re-skinning the existing ramp.

Colin asked when the next meeting would be and I said that we would put him on our email list... I assume this is ok???

He also asked if we had any photos of peeps using the local 'park'..... I haven't got anything myself but perhaps there may be some of the younger (more photogenic) skaters???

He was asking for photos for Wednesday (presumably the deadline for print)...... Might be worth an ask around? or perhaps if there are any luv-vies who want to pose for pics over the next day or two I guess we could sort something out?

I have CC's this to Colin and Andy at the Echo... my personal take is that all publicity is good and that what we are doing is very positive! I think The Echo can help in a big way.

I will also post on the forum and CC this to the rest of the group

whats going on with this new skate park i here about..
southfields needs a massive makeover basically..
anyone thought about having it as a concrete park.more hardwearing more durable and no need for re surfacing..

i dunno if concrete would be more expensive..but at the end off the day, there will be no need for a resurface..
